Valentines Day: children and poetry: a labor of love

Ah, Scotland's Robert Burns, who borrows this blog on Valentine's day, 2010, was known for spreading his love widely.

Despite his best efforts as a lover, he produced even more writings than children.

Both were labors of love.

It is fitting that on this Valentine's Day the very amorous and very active "Rabbie" Burns should borrow this blog from lonely "crying in his beer" Hank Williams.

As "Rabbie" well knew, there was nothing sad about time spent with the "lassies, O."

Still, Hank Williams takes no back seat to an Eighteenth Century philanderer when it comes to compassionate love from the heart.
